We pray for more time
We gamble with time
align ourselves for or against time
We pay pharmaceutical companies to buy us time
We alter chemistry and dig deeper into genetics in order to suppress time
Men like Heinlein alter time
Women like Chopin curse time
Each and every clock
is obsessed with time
Time is the currency
to which every human body
must acquiesce
hoping that our dues are paid
in full
and that we don't
clock out
early.
