There was morning and there was night
There was land and there was sea
There was bird and their was flight
There was you and there was me
There was us
The world continues on
Despite the daybreak and the dawn
Time was here and then was gone
And there was us
There was youth and there was fear
Traveling far and searching near
Keeping tabs upon the year
And there was us
And then she came into our lives
Bringing joy with tiny cries
Little bird with dreams to fly
And there was us… plus one.
